Namaste bebes ❤
I’ll tell you a secret, I’m not too crazy about the conventional patterns. Yes, I love a beautiful finished garments and all, but all the downloading, printing, gluing, cutting and marking, and than the fit might be wrong… Uggh… You get the point. So whenever I have chance to sew something without all that I get excited! Here I made this beautiful set in just over an hour (with a yard and a half of knit fabric), using my old clothes- I mean, it doesn’t get better than that really.
The fabric that I used is this gorgeous knit from Joann, super soft & stretchy. And as it is with all my knit-sewing lately I used only overlock for the whole time- I feel that way looks much cleaner and the stretch is better… Downside is- you can rarely match the thread color with the fabric but it is what it is, I read somewhere: “Compromise is the work of mature people”… So I guess I’m mature now 😄
I used my old sport bra and leggings to trace the pattern (Ha! Here it is pattern again!), but it literally took me 3 minutes to do it. Additionally, you could trace it directly on the fabric and safe those 3 minutes, buut if you like it than you have to do it again and not to say that it can be pretty messy.
As far as support goes in the bust area- mine is not crazy although you can easily change that by inserting bra foam padding and making it little tighter. When I do my yoga session I like to feel little looser than when I’m working out… I guess it goes with territory, so I didn’t put too much attention to it.
I am suuuuper happy with how it turned out! It fits me like a glove and it looks seamless! ❤ Watch the video bellow to see how you can make it too!
Thank you for being here (Namaste) 🧘🏼♀️
