Hey bebes ❤
Today was one of those effortlessly beautiful days… I finished unusually early with my job, treated myself latte, came home to a bright house, squirrels running around the windows… I mean simply perfect. In fact, I felt so good that it prompted me to look for something pretty in my wardrobe to wear around the house… And look what I found!
This little outfit was whipped just before I left Vegas few months ago with this exact purpose- loungewear. I wanted something cozy and light with an option (if situation requires it) to run outside in it and look perfectly acceptable. To make it, I took an old crop top that fits me well and just traced it, connecting front and back with overlock machine. I found when working with knits the best option is overlock since it allows the fabric to stretch. Top-stitching was done with double needle from Hobby Lobby. For the lower part of the top, I cut a strip of fabric that I folded (wrong sides facing) and connected the raw edges (the top and folded edges of the strip) with again.. overlock. Bottom was done the same way, tracing an old pants with additional elastic band around the waist.
I am so happy that I made this! It was super easy and pleasurable project (God knows how much we need those 😀 ) In it I feel very feminine and put together… And not just that, I feel like I look nice for myself and there is something very caring about that… I hope you have a beautiful day <3
See you soon
