Hey bebes ❤
First post of the year (well it was about time!). I knoooow, I know- guilty as charged. But here I am, kick starting 2021 with this Lady-with-a-kick outfit!

I made the dress from The Most Glorious viscose in the world, absolutely stunningly soft fabric with a slight shimmer to it. It was gifted from Poppy Flowerfields and you can find it on Etsy (click here). The pattern was actually hacked Vogue V9029, and I did it by prolonging it 16 inches (you can check my first blouse made from this pattern here).
The idea behind this dress was to make something classy, and to be honest- I was super inspired by Dressedbyava girl (she made something similar). But when I finished it and put it on with some heels I realized it’s waaaay too Kate Middleton for my taste (and a lifestyle), so I paired it with this Zara booties that are little less feminine (and on sale when I’m writing this!).

Now the conclusion… I will be brutally honest. This dress is not my proudest moment, although the fabric is fabulous and pattern served me good in the past- I must admit that I did a sloppy job here. I was so excited by the idea, that I tried to rush it and finish it quickly. And bebes… We should NOT rush the French seams. You can’t see it from here, and yes I might be turning into a perfectionist, but I love nice and clean details all around. This is not to say that I won’t wear this dress, it’s still a great as a package (I even got some compliments on today’s lunch) but I had to share my slight disappointment by myself here…
How is your sewing going these days? Are you being sloppy or taking time (like you should 😉 )
See you soon! Xoxo

P.S. Check out the weather in Vegas today! My face was burning on the sun- and it is J.A.N.U.A.R.Y.
